Symmetry Spice Tonic Essence reflects our Cape Malay heritage and the scents of the Karoo. It is brewed from fragrant spices and Cape Snowbush (Kapokbos) an indigenous plant which grows wild across the Cape.
Foraged from the Atlantic Coast and the dry Swartland, it is known for its herbaceous perfume and medicinal properties against coughs and colds.
Ingredients: cardamom, clove, cinchona bark, lemon, kapokbos, rosemary, ginger, lemongrass.
Serve over ice with sparkling water, 1:3 ratio or more to taste.
Garnish options: Rosemary – lemon zest – cassia bark
Or use Symmetry to replace your industrial mixers: Always use equal parts of Tonic essence and spirit over ice, and top up with sparkling water.
Spice goes fabulously with juniper-forward, earthy gins; vodka or mezcal.

Not just mixers, each formula is designed to be appreciated on its own (with carbonated water) as an unadulterated virgin drink: neither sweet, nor too bitter. The olio of botanicals finds balance between subtle sweetness, noble bitters and complex aromatics. Once diluted with sparkling water (1:3 or to taste), there is no more sugar than fresh lemon juice.
